Season's Greetings from Watchman’s Cry

Jesus is the Light of the World!

By Nathan Leal - December 25,2014

-------------------------------------------------------

Today in this late hour, the world is mired in darkness. It is a darkness that is galloping from the East to the West, bringing a thick sludge of evil and misery.

The people of this planet are suffocating in the darkness of hatred, selfishness and unbelief.

... Soon they will be suffocating in a darkness of bloodshed, mayhem, and murder.

Most of the residents of this planet do not realize what time it is. They do not realize that we are in the closing minutes of history, and worse, they do not realize how bad it is going to get.

The sun has set on America, and it is also setting on the West.

With the setting sun, the invasion has begun. It is an invasion that is turning the day into the night.

It is nighttime folks!

And with the night will come the battle over the souls of men.

For nighttime is not only a lack of light, but it is an opening chapter where the powers of darkness will undertake a mission to oppress and defeat the children of God and those who know Jesus.

The battle is real ladies and gentlemen. In the year 2014, it became evident. In the coming year, the battle is going to become a desperate fight for spiritual survival.

Some people will win...some people will lose.

I want to see you win!

Know the Enemy

The first part of winning is to know the enemy. And our enemy is not flesh and blood. Our enemy is the darkness that is invading the land. Our enemy is the power that the darkness holds over the hearts of men.

It is a power that can be defeated by Jesus, the Lord of Hosts. But first, we must learn to identify it and deal with it.

But dealing with the darkness, cannot be a casual exercise. Nor will it be accomplished by those who are apathetic to the things of God.

The battle is real folks! In the coming year of 2015, the darkness over America is going to become very thick. It is going to bring confusion and will seek to incarcerate many people in its grip and shackle them with despair.

The darkness has a ravenous appetite to destroy. Its grip is fierce.

  • It will lie and confuse.
  • It will bite into the fleshly souls of men with its jaws of death.
  • It will deliver a spell to try to freeze your faith.
  • It will attempt to throw sewage on the flame burning in your lamp.
  • It will try to rob your peace and steal your joy.
  • It will try to throw doubt into your heart and replace it with unbelief .
  • It will try to steal your love, and replace it with bitterness and hatred.
  • It will try to steal your fruit, and make you forget your good motives.
  • It will try to capsize your calling and defeat your mission.
  • It will try to tear apart your family and turn loved ones against one another.

...The darkness has no mercy but it is not invincible.

This will be the challenge for all of us in the coming year. I am not sharing this to scare you or to make you quit, nor am I sharing it to defeat your motivation.

Jesus is Our Hope

I share this information because I also bring good news. Jesus is the Good News. He is our Hope!

Jesus is able to defeat the darkness and protect us from its poison. He is able to heal the damage and pain that darkness brings. He is able to restore those who are wounded.

He is able to strengthen everyone of you so that you can face the darkness.

Jesus came to bring the Light. He came so that we can have joy in the midst of the storm.

Jesus is able to fill our hearts with love and peace while those around us are full of hatred. He can bring us freedom from fear and rescue us from oppression.

The world is full of darkness, and many years ago at the fullness of time, Jesus came down to this earth. He was born to bring a drink to this thirsty world.

He was born to be the light. He was born to rescue us from the grip of darkness.

He did not just appear as a full-grown man. He came as a babe.

He grew into a child and then became a man... The Son of Man!

He came as a babe so that He could know the hunger and thirst of lonely nights. He grew into a man so that he could know the pain, the grief and the sorrow that all of us have faced.

He came to this earth so that He could face the darkness. He came to destroy the darkness and the evil one, and to become the Lamp of our hearts.

Jesus brought His light.

Jesus gave His life, so that you would not have to be an orphan in the darkness.

Yes, the darkness is here, and yes, it is going to get worse, but Jesus defeated the darkness because by His death and resurrection, He conquered death and Hell.

And no matter where you are, and no matter what your situation is, Jesus wants to rescue you! He can heal. He can forgive. He can strengthen, He can restore.

As you read these words, does your life have heartache? Does it have pain? Did you stumble again? Do you need forgiveness? Have you blown it lately?

Are you experiencing victory?

... Or are you struggling in defeat?

Perhaps you need a miracle or a healing?

My friend, whatever your need is, Jesus came to bring us life and to restore our souls.

This Christmas season, whether you celebrate the holiday are not, my prayer is that Jesus will meet you at your need.

So give your burden to Him. Cast your care upon Him because He cares for you.

Heavenly Father, touch every person that is reading these words. For those who need a touch from You, please meet them where they are. Forgive those who seek Your forgiveness. Restore those who need to be strengthened and give peace and joy to those who may be oppressed and discouraged. Be our Shepherd and our Shelter, in Jesus' Name, amen!

In His service,

Merry Christmas from Nathan Leal and Family.
